Jim Harbaugh To Miami Dolphins? I Say YES!!!!

Word is no matter what, San Francisco and Harbaugh will part ways at seasons’ end and even though they are trying their best to play nice it is obvious that there is a problem in San Francisco and has been for  some time now. With leaks coming out that players are fed up with Jim and a bad marriage between the HC and GM (Remember Ireland and Philbin at season’s end last year?) it is almost a foregone conclusion that they are headed for a breakup at season’s end.

So the rumors are already out where Harbaugh just might land and many have him going back to the college ranks but to me that make no sense Jim Harbaugh has a 41-14-1 overall record (5-3 in the postseason) in his three seasons  and as of this writing the 49ers are 3-2 and still considered one of the better teams in the NFL. So overall that puts Harbaugh’s record at 44-16-1 compare that to Joe Philbin’s record of 19-21 in his 2+ seasons as Miami’s HC and there is no discussion needed as to if Miami should go hard for Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is exactly what I was talking about in my article about Philbin and Tannehill having similar personalities and in my assessment we need someone with a pulse at the HC or QB position rather than two Zombies at the two most important positions on the team.

Less we forget Jim was highly sought after (Late in the game) by the Dolphins owner when Harbaugh went to San Francisco. So make no mistake about it Stephen Ross wanted Jim as Miami’s head coach and considering the ties with Michigan( ironically a place rumored for Harbaugh to return) all the more the reason for Stephen Ross’s love of Harbaugh.

I would throw Philbin under the bus for a shot at getting Harbaugh in Miami as that is the one missing piece this Dolphins team needs a experienced proven successful NFL head coach and looking at their records it is not even close when comparing the coaches and their success.

The Dolphins have had the talent to win more under Joe Philbin than any HC in Miami’s past decade and through a series of questionable decisions like letting go of some veteran players that were successful in Miami and not having a replacement equal or better. Or how about all the drama that has followed Philbin from “bully-Gate” to the most recent conduct issues involving some of our players they in of themselves are not the nail in the coffin but add to the drama the pedestrian record and Joe Philbin needs to be replaced if the owner can upgrade the head coach position and Harbaugh is an upgrade over Joe Philbin.

So I am already on board that no matter what happens this season Miami would be better served to go after Jim Harbaugh and the owner should give Jim what he lacked in San Francisco the ability to call the shots even if that means allowing Jim to bring his own GM on board no matter how well Dennis Hickey our first year GM has done as to get a HC with Jims competitive nature and success is worth whatever it takes to bring aboard even making him the highest paid HC in the NFL!

Do you think Jim Harbaugh would be worth whatever it takes bring to Miami if available or should the Dolphins stay the course with the current regime?

Chime in!
